HOLT, Fla., April 14, 2019 (7:20 a.m.)–A tornado watch is in effect for this area until 10 a.m.

Tornado warnings have been issued in Mississippi and Alabama through the night as the storms progressed to the east.

While tornadoes are possible, the main threat for most people will be damage from straight-line winds, according to the NWS.

The wind advisory for this area has been extended to 7 p.m. tonight.

Additionally, Facebook, a go-to source for quick information, is experiencing problems around the world and is unavailable for the National Weather Service to push out weather updates.

There’s no indication when the problems will be fixed.
