A non-tropical low-pressure area could form over the northern Gulf of Mexico by late Wednesday or Thursday.

Conditions could become marginally conducive for some subtropical or tropical development as it moves slowly northeastward through the end of the week, according to the NHC.

Formation chance through the next five days is low at 20 percent.

Meanwhile Tropical Depression Three has dissipated into a trough of low pressure.
