This 1983 article from the Oct. 30 edition of the Playground Daily News talks about converting the Holt school into a clothing manufacturing plant. The plan was to start with 25 employees and increase it to 100 people after a year.

In a March 23, 1984, issue of the Playground News, the Okaloosa Regional Bookmobile was scheduled for a stop in the Rainbow Mills parking lot in Holt.
