HOLT, Fla., Feb. 4, 2020—The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of severe weather tomorrow across the deep south.
A powerful storm system is expected to push a cold front over this area late Wednesday into Thursday morning.
Storms are expected to become numerous-to-widespread Wednesday afternoon and continue into Thursday morning.
Severe thunderstorms with damaging winds is the primary threat although a tornado or two cannot be ruled out, according to the NWS.
In addition to the severe weather threat, heavy rain potential also exists with the mid-week storm system which can lead to minor river flooding.
Rainfall forecast for this area is 3-to-5 inches.
National Weather Service forecast
