Dollar General discount to medical, first responders, guardsmen

dg_logoGOODLETTSVILLE, TN, March 30, 2020—Dollar General is offering a discount to all front-line individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Beginning today, all medical personnel, first responders and activated National Guardsmen will receive a 10 percent discount on qualifying purchases by showing their employment badge or ID (see below for restrictions).

Dollar General will offer the discount through April 30 and plans to evaluate the possible extension of the offer in the coming weeks based on the evolution and status of the COVID-19 pandemic.

All stores dedicate the first hour each morning to senior customers with the goal to provide at-risk neighbors the opportunity to shop for essential items in a less-crowded environment.

Stores are closing one hour early to clean and re-stock shelves, as well as for employees’ safety and wellbeing, according to the release.

Restrictions

The offer is not valid with additional Dollar General coupons or toward the purchase of gift cards, all phone cards, prepaid Visa cards, prepaid wireless handsets, lottery tickets, Rug Doctor rentals, tobacco and alcohol.
