Baker virus cases increase by one

HOLT, Fla., June 28, 2020—Baker is reporting another COVID-19 case as of today’s updated information from the state health department.

The Florida Department of Health update, as of 10 a.m. EDT today, lists Baker with five coronavirus cases.

Holt is holding steady at three cases. Laurel Hill still has four. Crestview now has 90, an increase of six from yesterday.

Okaloosa County’s positive new cases increased by 51 from yesterday for a total of 601.

The county is holding at six deaths countywide. Four of those deaths are attributed to residents and staff of long-term care facilities.

In Santa Rosa County, Milton’s number stands at 230, Pace at 42 and Jay at five. Defuniak Springs in Walton County registers 102 cases and Paxton one.

In Alabama, new cases have also been increasing daily. North of Okaloosa County, Covington County has 324 cases overall.

Across Florida, new infections increased by 8,530 bringing the total to 141,075. Of those, 2,499 are attributed to non-Florida residents.
