HOLT, Fla., July 4th 2020–Florida’s COVID-19 numbers skyrocketed to yet another single-day record and is closing in on reaching another milestone.Here
According to the Florida Department of Health data, the state added 11,458 new cases to its overall number of 190,052, less than 10,000 shy of reaching 200,000 overall.
This is the 11th straight day the state has added more than 5,000 cases a day.
Here, Holt remains at four total cases. However, Baker increased its total to 19 and Laurel Hill adds 1. Crestview increased by 18 new cases for a total of 155.
Numbers in nearly all the other areas in Okaloosa County also increased.
Overall, Okaloosa is reporting 880 positive cases, an increase of 60 new cases from yesterday.
In neighboring counties, Santa Rosa increased to 815 cases and Walton to 305. In Alabama to the north,Ā Covington County, increased to 359.
Escambia County increased to 2,597 total cases.
