HOLT, Fla., Aug. 11, 2020—North county virus numbers climbed in all communities except for Laurel Hill today.
Laurel Hill’s numbers remain at 34, as they have since Aug. 7.
Holt increased the number of people infected by the virus by 1 for a total of 23.
Baker added another case and is now at 71.
Crestview added four more positive cases for a total of 716.
Milligan, strangely, lost a case and is now at two total. No explanation was given by the state health department for the downturn.
Okaloosa County added four more deaths with today’s update and is now at 45 total virus-related deaths.
Across the state, Florida’s virus-related deaths increased by 277, the highest number of new deaths since Aug. 6. Florida now has 8,685 COVID-19 deaths.
