Armed robbery during home invasion in Holt

HOLT, Fla., Sept. 29, 2020—The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a home invasion robbery that took place early this morning here.

The victim went outside his residence on Belgium Run around 5 a.m. to investigate a noise and was confronted by an armed man wearing a blue COVID-19-style mask, baseball hat, black hoodie, blue jeans and white shoes.

The man pointed a gun at the victim and forced him back inside where he then stole several items, including medication.

The victim said he cooperated because three children were asleep inside the house. As the robber fled in a car, the victim fired several shots at the vehicle.

The car was described as dark in color, a mid-2000s year model American-made four-door sedan with silver door handles. And it could have one or more bullet holes in it.

The armed robber is described as a white male, about 5-feet, 9-inches tall and 180 pounds.

No one was injured during the crime.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the OCSO at 850-689-5705 or Emerald Coast Crime Stoppers at 850-863-TIPS, or by using the P3 Tips Mobile application.
