COVID-19 vaccination appointments at drive-through clinic now full

HOLT, Fla., Dec. 31, 2020—The Florida Department of Health in Okaloosa County’s planned drive-through vaccination clinic scheduled for Jan. 6, 2021, is not accepting any more appointments at this time.

Okaloosa County’s FDOH is partnering with Okaloosa County Emergency Medical Services and local fire departments to begin offering COVID-19 vaccinations by appointment only to adults ages 65 and older.

The first of these vaccinations are scheduled to begin Jan. 6; however, appointment capacity was reached the same day the announcement was made and no additional appointments are available, according to a Dec. 30 FDOH news release.

The appointment-only drive-through vaccination clinic will be held at Northwest Florida State College’s Niceville campus.

Additional open vaccination clinics that do not require appointments may be available in the future based on vaccine availability, according to the release.

Information about the statewide vaccination distribution plan can be found on the Department of Health’s dedicated COVID-19 webpage.

Individuals can also sign up to receive updates via text message by texting “FLCOVID19” to 888-777.

Local updates will be added to DOH-Okaloosa website, www.healthyokaloosa.com.
