Celebrate Super Bowl LV with lip-smackin’, fall-off-the-bone smoked ribs.

HOLT, Fla., Feb. 2, 2021—Holt Fire District kicks off its first rib sale of the season Friday and Saturday just in time for the biggest football weekend of the year.

The District is smoking up 210 racks, 140 on Friday and 70 on Saturday and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ribs go in the smoker at 8 a.m. and will be ready for pick-up after noon both days. Cost is $20 a rack.

Friday’s second smoking will be available after 5 p.m.

These ribs smoke for two hours on the racks, then are smoked another two hours wrapped to seal in the juices.

As always, side dishes from Susan’s Restaurant will be available—potato salad, baked beans and coleslaw for $4 a pint, two pints for $7 or three pints for $11.

There’s no better way to enjoy Sunday’s game than with a pile of Holt Fire’s smoked ribs.

Directions to the rib sale: The fire station is located at 483 U.S. 90 West in Holt.  If coming from Interstate 10, take exit 45, turn north toward U.S. 90, then west at the flashing light.  The station is on the right.
