HOLT, Fla., March 25, 2021—All Florida adults will be eligible to get a COVID-19 vaccine within the next two weeks.
Beginning Monday, eligibility opens up for residents 40 and older with all adults eligible to receive the vaccine beginning April 5.
“All adults in the state age 18 and older will be eligible for the vaccine beginning Monday April 5,” said Gov. Ron DeSantis today. “This coming Monday, March 29, the age of eligibility for the vaccine will be reduced from 50 to 40.”

So far, more than 3.5 million seniors 65 and older have received the shot—more than 70 percent of the approximately 4.4 million seniors living in the state—according to the governor.
In addition to state public health locations, more than 1,600 Florida pharmacies offer vaccines including Publix, CVS, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Winn Dixie. Walgreens will soon be offering the vaccine, said DeSantis.
