CRESTVIEW, Fla., March 26, 2021—A boat fell off a trailer on Interstate 10 yesterday blocking westbound traffic.

A Pensacola man towing his 38-foot boat was travelling west in the outside lane on I-10.

As he began crossing the highway overpass at Ferdon Boulevard around 6:50 p.m., his trailer started swaying violently from side to side, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The right side of the boat trailer hit the guardrail causing the boat to break free from the trailer.

The boat overturned multiple times before coming to rest facing north and blocking both lanes of the westbound interstate, according to the release.

The driver maneuvered to the median after the accident. There were no injuries reported.
