
HOLT, Fla., April 10, 2021–Lightning hit a house on U.S. Hwy 90 in Holt around 8:45 a.m. today.
The strike ran through the wires and blew the television off the wall, according to Holt Fire Chief Scott Chestnut.
No flames were detected and no one was injured during the incident.
Crews assisting Holt Fire District included Baker Fire District, Crestview Fire Department, Dorcas Fire District and Okaloosa County EMS.
This came on the back edge of a round of severe weather activity in the area that brought damaging wind, hail and a tornado warning for Okaloosa County with a tornado touchdown near Turkey Creek in Valparaiso.
