HOLT, Fla., May 6, 2021—Two men were arrested this week after a fight broke out at the Emerald Coast Dragway Saturday during the racing event here.
Kenny Lamar Saffold Kevon Tyquan Saffold
Kenny Lamar Saffold, 42, from Greenwood, Fla., was arrested May 1 for aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
His son, Kevon Tyquan Saffold, 23, also from Greenwood, was arrested May 5 on the same charge.
A fight broke out between the Saffolds and Roger Lynn Morris around 8:40 p.m. during the racing event.
During the altercation, Morris was knocked unconscious and transported to the hospital, according to both Okaloosa County arrest reports.
A witness video of the fight showed Kevon approach Morris from the rear and punch him in the face, dropping Morris to the ground, according to Kevon’s arrest report.
Kevon then attempted to kick the unconscious Morris before bystanders pulled him away, according to his arrest report.
Morris was reported to have suffered a broken jaw as a result of the fight.
