LAUREL HILL, Fla., Sept. 23, 2021—Two Crestview residents were injured in a traffic crash on County Road 2 in Laurel Hill this morning.

The accident closed the intersection of CR 2 and CR 602 for about two hours, according to Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office crash alerts.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol news release, a westbound car was traveling on CR 2 approaching the intersection of 602 when a pickup truck heading east attempted to make a left-hand turn onto 602.

The two vehicles hit head on, according to the release.

The 44-year-old Crestview driver and 14-year-old passenger were airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola with critical injuries.

The 21-year-old pickup driver suffered minor injuries from the crash, according to the release.
