MILLIGAN, Fla., Oct. 18, 2021—A two vehicle accident yesterday morning in Milligan sent one man to the hospital.
The accident shut down both the east- and westbound lanes of U.S. 90 and southbound State Road 4 at the intersection.
Around 10 a.m. Sunday, a Holt man driving a Chevrolet pickup, was traveling east on Hwy 90, approaching Hwy 4.
At the same time, a Moss Point, Miss., man on his motorcycle traveling west, was approaching the same intersection.
Not seeing the motorcycle because of sun glare, the pickup made a left-hand turn onto Hwy 4 into the motorcycle’s path, causing a head-on collision, according to the Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The motorcyclist was life flighted to Sacred Heart Hospital with serious injuries where he was reported to be in stable condition.
The pickup driver did not report any injuries, according to the release.
