CRESTVIEW, Fla., March 2, 2022—A teenager was hit by a car this morning while walking to his bus stop.
Around 7:41 a.m., the 14-year-old boy was headed westbound on Lee Avenue toward his bus stop when a passenger car struck him from behind, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The vehicle, described by the FHP as possibly an older brown Kia sedan driven by a white female, fled the scene.
The teen was transported to the hospital for injuries suffered from the accident.
The Florida Highway Patrol is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the vehicle or its driver.
