SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Fla., Aug. 12, 2022—A 24-year-old Crestview man died today when his car struck a semi on Interstate 10 early this morning.

Both vehicles were traveling east on I-10 near mile marker 33 around 1:50 a.m. when the Nissan 350Z’s front bumper hit the rear of the tractor trailer, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

The Nissan driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The accident closed the interstate for a period of time and traffic was diverted through Holt. At the time of this story, the left lane is still blocked as the crash investigation continues.
