
HOLT, Fla., May 25, 2025—The Florida Department of Transportation has identified some potential slowdowns for next week.
North county travelers can expect a couple of lane closures on P.J. Adams, Ferdon Boulevard and Interstate 10.
P.J. Adams—Drivers will encounter alternating lane closures between Crab Apple Avenue and Antioch Road Saturday and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Crews will be installing a drainage pipe beneath the roadway. During the work, law enforcement officers and traffic flaggers will be in place to direct drivers through the work zone.
Redstone Avenue to U.S. Highway 90—Resurfacing and safety improvements on South Ferdon Boulevard from Redstone Avenue to Hwy 90 will cause intermittent lane closures Tuesday through Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for paving operations.
I-10 resurfacing—Drivers will encounter alternating I-10 lane closures from west of the Yellow River to east of the Shoal River between mile markers 50 and 60 Tuesday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for striping operations.
Books Bridge replacement project—Southbound drivers traveling to Okaloosa Island may encounter disruptions Tuesday through Thursday between 9 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for utility work and construction activities.
