TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Aug. 4, 2025—Children were traumatized July 23 as they watched Chuck E. Cheese being handcuffed and removed from the family restaurant in Tallahassee.

To horrified yells of “Chuck E., no!” from children ringing in the background, Chuck E. Cheese, aka Jermel Jarreau Jones, 41, was escorted from the premises in handcuffs.

He initially resisted the police, but submitted while still in costume.

Jones was charged for credit card fraud after allegedly stealing a patron’s credit card. He was booked at the Leon County Jail and was later released on bond.
