CRESTVIEW, Fla., May 7, 2026—The countywide America 250 celebration and parade scheduled for Saturday has been postponed in anticipation of severe weather.

This decision was made in coordination with the Okaloosa County Department of Emergency Management to ensure the safety of all participants and attendees.

The parade has been rescheduled for Sep. 12.

Additional details will be provided as the new date approaches. Registered participants, vendors and volunteers will receive direct communication from the Okaloosa County American 250 Commission Special events coordinator with rescheduling information and directions.

At this time, the commission has not yet set a new date for the celebration event initially scheduled before the parade.
