OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla., May 18, 2026—Drivers traveling west on I-10 are now driving on the new westbound lanes at the P.J. Adams Parkway interchange (future exit 53).
As part of interchange construction, the I-10 westbound travel lanes shifted to the newly constructed overpass yesterday. The new traffic pattern is the permanent configuration for westbound drivers.
This work is part of the $72.7 million future I-10 exit 53 interchange project.
The project represents the first new interchange added to the northwest Florida I-10 corridor in decades.
When complete in mid-2027, the future exit 53 will help reduce congestion by providing an alternative I-10 access point for travelers in north Crestview.
