CRESTVIEW, Fla., Aug. 19, 2026—A school bus accident injured a teen this morning on Ferdon Boulevard around 6:40 a.m.

The bus was traveling east on Ninth Avenue, approaching the stop sign at the Ferdon intersection.

At the same time, the 13-year-old teenager was riding north on his bike on the west sidewalk of Ferdon, approaching the crosswalk at Ninth Avenue.

As the bicyclist entered the crosswalk, the bus stopped at the stop sign, then made a right-hand turn onto Ferdon, colliding with the boy. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the boy suffered serious injuries.

It is not known if there were any children on board the bus at the time of the accident.
