Two arrested on narcotics charges after traffic stop

CRESTVIEW, Fla., Aug. 21, 2026—Two people were arrested on narcotics charges after a deputy conducted a traffic stop in Crestview yesterday evening.

Arrested were:

  • William Clay Kalinowski, 32
  • Kayleigh Paige Kilpatrick, 30

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped a black 2014 Ford near the intersection of E. Robinson Avenue and S. Wilson Street after determining Kalinowski had active warrants, according to a news release.

During the step, a K9 conducted an exterior sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics. A search uncovered approximately 16 grams of suspected methamphetamine packaged in four bags, along with multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Kilpatrick was arrested and charged with trafficking meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Kalinowski was taken into custody on his outstanding warrants. During a search deputies found approximately three grams of a white powdery substance and less than 1 gram of a blue powdery substance, both of which field-tested presumptively positive for fentanyl, according to the release. He was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both suspects were booked into the Okaloosa County Jail.
