CRESTVIEW, Fla., Aug. 24, 2026—A Florida Road Ranger found a woman who had passed away on Interstate 10 yesterday.

The ranger was responding to what appeared to be a disabled vehicle on the westbound side of I-10 near mile marker 55 when he found an unresponsive 73-year-old woman from Moss Point in the vehicle, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

Crestview Fire Department arrived within minutes and declared the woman dead at the scene. It is not known what the woman died of at this time.

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the incident, although it is not believed to be criminal in nature, according to the release.
