HOLT, Fla., Oct. 11, 2026—There is no boil notice for Holt Water Works members.

Holt Water did not lose power at the pump on Armistead Boulevard during Hurricane Isaias. The well, pump and tower performed as usual during the 105 mph winds.

Unlike some other local water utilities, Holt Water did not need to turn off the pump at the Holt Industrial Park tower because it sits on one of the highest points in Okaloosa County and has no flood issues.

“Most places have flood issues, and have to shut down their systems to prevent flood water contamination in case a pipe were to burst,” said Donna Ash, Holt Water Works manager. “We don’t have that problem in Holt.”
