Thanksgiving dinners donated to pantry

Pantry volunteer Maureen Smith stands next to 75 Thanksgiving dinner bags ready to distribute at Holt’s food pantry.

HOLT, Fla., Nov. 8, 2018–The first of 150 Thanksgiving dinners were delivered to the Holt Community Food Pantry by the Rotary Club of Crestview and Tiffany Woodham State Farm.

Complete dinners were gathered in blue bags provided by Tammi Dingess from the Crestview Rehabilitation Center.

These meals were distributed during the pantry’s operating hours Wednesday.

Another 75 meal bags will be distributed next Wednesday.

Additionally, the Mount Ewell Mason Lodge No. 131 of Baker donated $500 to the pantry toward Thanksgiving meals.

A complete Thanksgiving meal in a bag costs about $20. Donations are still being accepted for this food drive. Contact Tiffany Woodham at 850-306-2024, the Holt Food Community Food Pantry at 850-537-2024 or Samma Brannon with Crestview Rotary at 850-902-3349.
