HOLT, Fla., Sept. 13, 2019—Tropical Depression Nine has formed near the Bahamas and is forecast to become a tropical storm Saturday.
When it forms, it will be known as Tropical Storm Humberto.
The National Hurricane Center forecasts the storm to strengthen into a hurricane sometime early next week.
The good news is forecast models now show soon-to-be TS Humberto to remain in the Atlantic Ocean.
Tropical storm watches remain in effect for Florida’s central east coast where there’s still a possibility of tropical-storm-force winds as early as Saturday evening.
