Florida’s COVID-19 cases continue to rise. (FDOH)

HOLT, Fla., July 2, 2020–New COVID-19 case numbers continue to skyrocket.

A new single-day high was released by the Florida Department of Health today.

Florida now has 169,107 total virus cases, with a record number of 10,109 recorded for the past 24 hours.

In Okaloosa County, total cases rose to 770 with a high new-day total of 83.

Okaloosa also added another virus-related death, bringing the total to eight.

Holt and Laurel Hill numbers remained the same at four and five. However, Baker’s number was back up to 10 with today’s updated information from the FDOH.

Escambia County jumped to 2,240; Santa Rosa increased to 676 and Walton now has 291 total cases.
