Baker adds 5 new virus cases

HOLT, Fla., Aug. 28, 2020--Baker added five new virus cases to its total with today’s state health department update, its highest single-day addition since Sept. 4.

Other than Crestview’s additional six cases, Baker was the only other north county community to increase its total.

Overall, Okaloosa County added 39 more cases with the majority of them in Fort Walton Beach.

The county also added another virus-related death bring the total to 76.

Across the state, there have been more than 11,000 virus related deaths, the fifth highest in the nation behind New York, New Jersey, California and Texas.
