CRESTVIEW, Fla., Jan. 23, 2022—A Pensacola woman was arrested early this morning for driving under the influence after driving the wrong way on Interstate 10.

Responding to a call of a wrong-way driver headed west in the eastbound lanes of I-10 around 3:50 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol caught up to a Toyota Camry around mile marker 56.

Upon arrival, troopers attempted to make a traffic stop; however, the driver, India Kay Sansom, 33, refused to stop and continued driving the wrong way, according to an FHP news release.

Troopers initiated a PIT maneuver and ended the situation.

Sansom was arrested for DUI and taken to the Okaloosa County Jail.
