Man wanted for questioning in FWB double homicide

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., Feb. 2, 2022—The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office is working to locate a person of interest in the homicide of two individuals found inside a home at 2908 Bentwood Lane near Fort Walton Beach.

Investigators are searching for a person of interest, Chad Eric Ankenbrand, 47, to question in the case.

Deputies were called to the house in the Willow Bend neighborhood Tuesday to do a welfare check on a female resident.

After being unable to make contact with anyone inside, deputies entered and found two people dead.

The victims are identified as Annastacia Merrell, 52, and Patrick Tymoch, 51.

According to the OCSO, Ankenbrand is considered armed and dangerous. If spotted, no attempt to make contact should be made.

Black Mustang, Florida tag 36BAWX

He’s believed to be driving a black Ford Mustang convertible with Florida tag 36BAWX. The car is missing its back window and passenger side mirror.
