HOLT, Fla., Aug. 25, 2022—The entire Mobile National Weather Service area is in a “wet and soggy” rain pattern that doesn’t appear to be ending for the next few days.
The forecast for this area is more rain—80 percent this afternoon, 60 percent chance tonight and 90 percent tomorrow.
The Saturday, Sunday and Monday forecast calls for a slight chance of rain in the morning, then 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms likely after 1 p.m.
According to the NWS, scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop into the afternoon/early evening hours.
Because the ground is saturated, some locations in the forecast area have experienced flash floodings, particularly in portions of Mobile and Baldwin counties.
A flash flood watch is in effect for most of the forecast area. Okaloosa County is not included in the flash flood watch.
Another round of showers and storms is expected to develop around daybreak, according to the NWS.
