CRESTVIEW, Fla., July 27, 2026—Help local area schoolchildren get ready for the 2026-2027 school year by dropping off school supplies in the “Stuff the Bus” back-to-school supply event Saturday.

The Okaloosa County School District joins with the Okaloosa Public Schools Foundation and the Salvation Army in sponsoring this event.

Stuff the Bus helps local students get the supplies they need for the upcoming school year.

A school bus will be located at the Crestview Walmart from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. for those wanting to participate.

The supply event happens during the annual Florida back-to-school sales tax holiday running now through Aug. 20.

During the sales tax holiday, tax is not collected on the retail sale of clothing, footwear, backpacks, certain school supplies, learning aids, personal computer and more. See the tax information publication for more information on tax-exempt items.

To make it even easier to donate school supplies, donation boxes will be located at businesses throughout the county. North Okaloosa locations:
