SEQUOYAH COUNTY, Okla., Aug. 31, 2026—A Crestview woman was arrested in Oklahoma after Oklahoma Highway Patrol found a homemade bomb in her possession.
On Aug. 25, OHP troopers stopped Madeline Haner, 24, of 607 Alabama Street in Crestview, in Sequoyah County as she was traveling through the state.
During a search of her vehicle, OHP found a live homemade explosive device among Haner’s belongings, along with several firearms.
Haner was subsequently arrested for unlawful possession of an explosive, use of a firearm while committing a felony, following too closely and flight to avoid Okaloosa County, Fla.

Haner is tied to the officer-involved shooting that occurred Aug. 8 at her Crestview residence when deputies attempted to execute a residential search warrant. Killed was Antonio Austin Haner.
During a search of her residence, members of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office located live homemade explosive devices.
The OCSO had an active warrant for Haner for a violation of Florida State Statute 552.22(1) Manufacturing an Explosive Device with Intent to Cause Harm or Death, a second-degree felony.
She is being held in Sequoyah County jail in Oklahoma without bond with a hold in place.
