FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla., July 15, 2022—People who need an original or replacement Social Security Number card now have a new and faster way to receive one.
The Social Security card webpage application process begins by asking a series of questions to determine eligibility.
After answering those questions, new card seekers will be asked to establish an online account.
Once the online portion of the application process is completed, the applicant will be issued an online control number.
Completing the application process requires an in-person visit to the Fort Walton Beach office.
Bring the online control number—along with any required documents—to the local office at 111-B Racetrack Road, N.W., Fort Walton Beach, within 45 days to finish the application process.
Once completed, the Social Security Administration will mail a card within seven to 10 business days after the application is processed.
Cards are not issued locally.
