
Two people were injured when a septic truck crashed May 29 in Holt.
HOLT, Fla., May 29, 2018–Two people were injured when a septic truck stuck a tree on U.S. 90 shortly after 11 a.m. today.
The individuals with unknown injuries were transported by ambulance to the nearest hospital.
A septic truck owned by Arnett Septic was traveling eastbound on U.S. Hwy 90 approximately 2 miles from the downtown area of Holt when it left the road.
The truck hit a mailbox, a telephone utility box and drove through guy wires supporting an electrical pole after it left the highway, traveling about 300 feet across a vacant field before hitting a tree.
The driver managed to get out of the cab by himself and was found lying on the ground when Holt Fire District arrived on scene.
The accident caused a power outage to several business in Holt, as well as area residences.
There was no spillage from the truck’s septic tank.

The truck crashed through guy wires supporting an electrical pole May 29.
Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative was on scene to repair the damage done to the electrical pole.
The truck striking the guy wires caused the top of the electrical pole to break, resulting in replacement of the entire pole.
It’s unknown what caused the truck to crash at this time.
