Hurricane number 15 formed in the Atlantic Ocean today.

Hurricane Nate has weakened to a category one storm. Tropical-storm-force winds extend mainly toward the east side of the storm.
Nate is strengthening faster than predicted and was redesigned a hurricane at 10:30 p.m.
Maria is now classified as a category one hurricane. The storm is expected to strengthen before reaching the Leeward Islands in the next 24-to-48 hours.
Hurricane models are beginning to agree more on Irma's projected path as the storm travels across the Atlantic Ocean.
